SP-Cap conductive polymer aluminum electrolytic capacitors(JX series,KX series)

With the evolution of telecommunication equipment, high reliability capacitors with long lifetime and resistance to high humidity in addition to large capacitance are required in power supply designing.Panasonic has commercialized the JX series with a 125 °C / 3000 hour warranty, which is three times that of our conventional products, and the KX series, which has a 125 °C / 5500 hour warranty, which is 5.5 times that of our conventional products.
Panasonic has also expanded the JX series SP-Cap® product lineup of by adding the low-ESR, and products and further increasing the a variety of rated voltages.
Furthermore, both the KX and JX series of SP-Cap® guarantee long endurance ensure a long lifetime even under high temperature and high humidity conditions – 1,000 hours at 85°C/85% (dump-heat steady state).

1. Achieving the industry's longest endurance guarantee.

With the combination of proprietary technologies of conductive polymer formation and manufacturing processes developed by the company, the newly developed products have achieved over three times longer than that of conventional products, high temperature guarantee.

<Long life at a high temperature> : The newly developed products have achieved a over three times longer life at a high temperature than that of Panasonic's conventional products.
Improved conductive polymer, which is a key material, and suppressed wear deterioration compared to conventional products.

<High temperature and humidity endurance> : 85°C 85% 1000 h guarantee
Oxygen intrusion, which causes deterioration of the conductive polymer, is delayed by changing the exterior resin.

2. The excellent product characteristics (low ESR and large capacity characteristics) will contribute to the stabilization of power supply circuits.

With the reduced resistance of capacitor internal elements through the use of the company's proprietary technologies and the adoption of high capacity electrode foils, the newly developed products have achieved a long life at a high temperature and a low ESR (3~15 mΩ/100 kHz). From the viewpoint of high reliability, the ESR standard after endurance is specified to be within twice the initial standard value.

3. Space-saving and lowering environmental impact

The newly developed capacitors, with an effective capacitance equivalent to that of MLCCs, enable a reduction in the number of required capacitors. Replacing multiple MLCCs with an SP-Cap capacitor will save space and enable the miniaturization of equipment, thereby lowering environmental impact through the reduction of materials used.
