A backup power supply loading the in-house designed and high-performance EDLC for automotive use

The module uses automotive EDLC (Electrical Double Layer Capacitor) as a power storage element instead of batteries, capable of performing EDLC cell balance control, charge/discharge control, self-diagnosis function, communication functions, etc.
After confirming vehicle ignition ON condition, it starts charging of EDLC. In addition, with the module starting up, it performs self-diagnosis of EDLC condition and circuit condition. When a drop of vehicle battery voltage is detected, it moves to backup mode and starts supplying power to the system.
