Product Overview
DC-DC Regulator (also known as DC to DC Converter) for Car-AV and Industry, which provides EMI prevention in AM frequency band, is best suited for car navigation systems or car audio systems.
Features
- High-speed switching frequency allows use of AM radio EMI measures (two types).
- Power supply and high-side switch are combined on a single chip (ideal for use in USB applications). Overcurrent values can be set and continuously monitored using flag output.
- With load current monitoring function, voltage drop caused by factors such as cable resistance can be compensated (using the current feedback function) when supplying power to high-current-capacity loads (USB, etc.).
Measure 1: Switching operation beyond the AM band at a frequency of 2MHz allows EMI interference to be avoid and more compact peripheral components to be used.

Easy design of the power supply by rich additional functions
Measure 2: Use of external synchronization* for frequency switching allows avoidance of interference with the desired frequency caused by harmonic components.
(* The frequency can also be changed with external resistance.)

Easy design support for EMI measures of AM Band
Measure 3: PLL technology has been used to reduce output fluctuations during frequency switching from levels seen in order designs.
