Progress in technologies for electric cars and autonomous cars has led to the development of in-vehicle ECUs with higher performance. As a result, circuits making up those high-performance ECUs have come to carry larger load currents as more and more ECUs have been incorporated in cars. This latest trend has created demand for smaller boards. Now, to secure enough space for packaging circuit elements on such a small board, capacitors must be compact, be capable of handling a large current, and have a large capacitance.
To provide a capacitor that meets those conditions, Panasonic has released the ZSU Series Conductive Polymer Hybrid Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors with features including a large capacitance.
