Today, countries around the world pose stricter environmental regulations, forcing automobile manufacturers to shift their focus onto production of environmentally-friendly vehicles. This new trend has led to a demand for the increased capacities of batteries in EVs, which are the key to achieve EVs with traveling performance as high as that of gas vehicles, and batteries with larger capacities need EV chargers (on-board chargers) with higher power output.
Ready to meet these needs, we offer the film capacitor ECWFG series featuring large current handling, high reliability, and high safety, contributing to high-power OBC production and safety improvement.

  1. Large current: The ECWFG series achieves larger allowable current that is two times as large as the allowable current of the ECWFE series (at 105℃).

    Panasonic's original low membrane resistance vapor deposition technology reduces the ESR of the ECWFG series, enabling the ECWFG series to have larger allowable current that is two times as large as the allowable current of the ECWFE series (at 105℃), thus providing a solution to a problem of increasing load current in circuits.

  2. High reliability: The ECWFG series achieves high moisture resistance and high thermal shock resistance, conforming to requirements specified in AEC-Q200.

    Panasonic's original exterior sealing technology gives the ECWFG series high moisture resistance and high thermal shock resistance, allowing it to conform to requirements specified in AEC-Q200. The product thus becomes an optimum automotive capacitor, which is required to be highly reliable.

  3. High safety: The ECWFG series is provided with a security mechanism (fuse), which ensures the safety of the product (open failure mode).

    Through a high-precision vapor deposition pattern technology, a fuse is properly placed on a deposit film so that the circuit is opened in its failure mode. This prevents a firing accident, fuming accident, etc., caused by short circuit, thereby keeping the product set sufficiently safe.
