E series has 1.5 times the capability of the V series.
In this video, we discuss the features and benefits of the E-Series Varistors (ZNR Surge Absorber).
Features of E series
■Compactness: Despite its small size, the E series offers the same surge current withstand capacity as other types.
A ZNR with the same surge current withstand capacity as that of the E series can be replaced with the E series. This achieves significant component miniaturization.

■Despite having the same shape as other types, the E series offers a higher surge current withstand capacity.
A ZNR with the same shape as the E series can be replaced with the E series. This will enable you to have significantly increased surge current withstand capacity.

Element techniques
Our original material design and processing techniques have led to the development of the compact and high-performance
ZNR with about 1.5 times the capability of the V series.
<Development concept>
Atomic alignment states are made uniform through valence control to increase carriers (electrons), which makes ZnO
grains less resistant, creating a state where current flows easily. Resistance is thus suppressed in a large current
flow area to allow larger current flows. In addition, crystal grains are made uniform in diameter as grain boundaries
are made homogenous by improving the dispersibility of the material. This also contributes to homogenous current flows,
thus allowing large current flows.
