    March 12, 2009, Osaka, Japan—Panasonic Electronic Devices Co., Ltd. has succeeded in commercializing the in-vehicle terrestrial digital front-end unit with 4-diversity reception (TTM15J type), which futures excellent receiving performance under the hard automotive environmental conditions.

    Since the terrestrial broadcasting /receiving system in in-vehicle TV and automotive navigation systems will be completely digitized from the year of 2011, a digital receiving front end built in vehicles has come into wider use. And also, 4-diversity reception systems have been increasingly required to have the higher-sensitive receiving performance in the market. To meet the market demand, Panasonic Electronic Devices Co., Ltd. has succeeded in single-packaging (currently in 2-packaging) 4-diversity function and commercialized the TTM15 type, which has a smaller size, lower power consumption as well as higher sensitivity.
