High precision rectangular chip resistors with high-reliability have been required in the automotive electronic applications, which are used under the harder environmental conditions compared with electronic equipment for general use. To meet the market demand, Panasonic Electronic Devices Co., Ltd. has been mass-producing Metal Film Chip Resistors with 1608(0603) size and 2012(0805) size featuring high-reliability as well as high-precision, and furthermore has developed the 1005(0402) size(ERA2A series), and will commence mass production.
