As mobile devices including mobile phones have had higher performance, Li-ion and Li-polymer batteries, which are used for a power source of a variety of devices, have been more compact and have higher capacity. Under the situation, measures for protecting these batteries have been becoming more important. To meet the market demand, Panasonic Electronic Devices Co., Ltd. will commence mass production of the small and thin thermal-links featuring the industry's smallest size, which is suitable for overheat protection of Li-ion and Li-polymer batteries.
