As mobile peripherals including mobile phones have become smaller, thinner, as well as more functional, switches which are placed in the slight gap of devices or are mounted in the neighborhood of the display having no printed circuit boards, have been required to be smaller and thinner. To meet the market demand, Panasonic Electronic Devices Co., Ltd. has developed the 3.0 mm×2.6 mm light touch switch featuring the smallest size and the lowest profile in the industry, and will soon commence sample production.
