Wire winding type choke coils have been installed in DC/DC converter circuits used for mobile units including mobile phones, digital still-cameras, hard-disc drivers, because comparative large current flows in them. Recently, a variety of power supply circuits in mobile units have been required to be effective in order to increase the battery-operation time of units, and the products with low DCR (direct current resistance) have been required. To meet the market demand, Panasonic Electronic Devices Co. Ltd. has developed the choke coil with low DC resistance in the top level in the industry (*1), which is useful for improving the effectiveness and for reducing the size of power supply circuits. Newly developed choke coils contribute to increasing the battery-operation time and reducing the size of mobile units.
[Features]

|
1. Low DC resistance (DCR) value, by improving the wire space factor with ribbon wire and our original wire winding method
- DC resistance value: 130 m
(about 20% reduction compared with our current models (*2) … top level in the industry (*1)
- IDC characteristics: 0.95A (about 25% improvement compared with our current models (*2)
2. Small and thin
- Dimensions: L 3.2 mm × W 3.2 mm × H 1.2 mm
3. Magnetic shield-effect, by adopting the adhesive construction including the magnetic materials
- Leakage flux: 1.0 mT (milli terrace) in horizontal direction
