    New Product
September 29, 2008, Osaka, Japan--Panasonic Electronic Devices Co., Ltd. has succeeded in commercializing the 0805-size High Power Chip Resistors (Wide Terminal Type) suitable for power supply applications and current-detecting circuit applications of a variety of equipment including HDDs, PCs, and automotive electronic applications.
Product name 0805-size High Power Chip Resistors (Wide Terminal Type)
    Series name ERJB3 series
    Sample production October 2008
    Production start November 2008
    Sample price 10 yen/piece (20 to 200mΩ)
    8 yen/piece (220 mΩto10Ω)
    Production capacity 5 million pieces/month
We have been mass-producing High Power Chip Resistors (Wide Terminal Type) with 2512-size (*1), with 2010-size (*2) and with 1206-size (*3), which have high solder joint-reliability and are suitable for circuit design of HDD,PC, and automotive applications and etc.
To meet the market demand, Panasonic Electronic Devices Co., Ltd. has newly developed the 0805-size chip resistor (L 2.0 mm×W 1.25 mm×H 0.5 mm) with smaller size, thereby adding new products to our current models with 2512-size, 2010-size and 1206-size to expand our product range.
    (*1) 2512-inch size: L 6.4 mm × W 3.2 mm × H 0.55 mm
    (*2) 2010-inch size: L 5.0 mm × W 2.5 mm × H 0.55 mm
    (*3) 1206-inch size: L 3.2 mm × W 1.6 mm × H 0.55 mm

    [Features]

    1.Compact and high-power

    Power rating with 0805-size: 0.5 W (resistance value of more than 1Ω: 0.33 W)
         Our current models (*) : 0.125 W with 0805-size

2.Improved solder joint-reliability by structuring their terminals at the wide side

    3.Low resistance value
